Anger and Fury

Anger and fury,

Stubborn and unseeing

Mind closed, eyes closed

Towards all thoughts

Not their own

Bigoted and self-centered,

Blinded unknowingly,

Restricted by ignorance

And refusal,

Refusal to end ignorance

Paranoid and untrusting,

Never believing

Enclosed within

One’s own mind and body

The downfall of man

Bickering and madness

Unable to harmonize

Along with others

Fear the different

Scared to be unique

Afraid to stand out

Hiding from shun

Never wishing

To be in the place

Of the pariah

The outcast

The one who stays true

To themselves,

Their thoughts,

Their beliefs,

Their actions

Thinking they are the ones

Hurt and confused,

Wrong and shunned away

Reality is,

They stand tall,

Believe and aspire,

Living life to its fullest,

Positively and content,

Open to all,

And to self

Anger and fury,

Irrational and abrupt,

Sudden changes,

Multiple sides in one

Personalities alter,

Characteristics shift,

Traits transform

And one who we knew,

A complete stranger

Uncertain and unsure

Of identity within,

Metamorphosed outer appearance,

No longer the same

The bickering begins

And arguing pursues

Anxious arguments,

Debates, disagreements,

Whatever the name

Tears down friends and family,

Strangers you become,

And man himself destroyed

  1. You are such a talented person, writing so many of these poems. I find these to be have great morals and themes, but I find that they don't have much variation between them. You use your words beautifully and have a lot of effort. Well, try harder. I'm sure your dream will come true.
