Waterfall

The water crashing down

Slamming upon the lake’s surface

Rushing rapidly

Thrashing thunderously

Yet the sight and sound

Causes no fright and anxiety

Upon the viewers plenty

Rather a calm, melodious sound

And placid, beauteous sight

For those bystanders many

The clear water foaming

Sparkly under the sun

And a rainbow peeks from

The clouds above

The water fresh and renewed

From a recent rainfall

The lake pure and serene

Nature, quiet yet noisy

Booming yet tranquil

A place of true beauty

For those young and old

To behold

To sit back and relax

And observe the placidity

Thoughts Intergalactic

Staring at the ceiling every night wondering what is above me

Imagination consumed by the dark sky engulfing meteors

Flying by so much faster than my human eyes can possibly see

That chance of emerging myself in space, simply a blur

How would it be to dwell in the space above?

Looking down here would seem so much further

What is up there that I would hate, that I would love?

But I would be able to see this world so much clearer

So unlike what I'm accustomed to would it be

Would the buildings on the moon be craters?

At a loss without my land, grass, flowers, and trees

Rocks and sandy dust doesn’t match the comfort of the waters

If only our own planet Earth weren’t so boisterously deafening

I could settle away from crowds in comfort, simply thinking

Voice of the Wind

Through the park I travel

Through the schoolyard,

The streets and highways

Every turn, every step of the way

I’m the silent companion

Trailing close behind

The placid presence

Along your side

The tranquil charisma

Fluttering before you

The calming voice

That whispers in your ear

The quiet tone

That tickles your senses

Bringing serenity

As you sit, thinking

The everlasting friend

That listens to your every word

And carries it off to the heavens

Warm as springtime

Touch as soft as a parent to child

Yet at the same time,

The uproar,

The ire

That rips through town

During the raging storm

Alliance to the booming thunderclap

And flashing streak of lightening

I am the howling shriek

That whips through

Shrill as a banshee

Cold as the depths of the iciest sea

Two sides to me

As multiple sides to others

Take a look at both stories

Take the time to revel

Consider all

Do not side

Until each point revealed

Each person

Each event

Each object

Double sided

Ponder all

Accept equally

Until necessary otherwise

Bringing the rage of the storm

Back to a comforting whisper

Of a friend,

Of the warmth of spring
