Wrote my first Villanelle for AP Literature. Here it is!
This blog is a collection of my poetry, song lyrics, and certain other written works. I will try to upload at least one new poem per week. My dream to be published started all the way in 2nd grade, so I'm here to just get some of my stuff out there. Enjoy! (: This is the P.O.V. Better yet, this is me.

Thoughts of You (Song in Progress)
huh. Well... I actually wrote this like 5 months ago, but the vocals still aren't done and I apparently forgot to post the lyrics up, so I posted them up now. And here is the link to the music w.o vocals to listen to for now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGHYeymy5kk&feature=player_embedded
Heart and soul a single link
Each pair completely in sync
Don’t take a notice, don’t see why
Rather be awake than sleep
Reality sweet as dreams
Your every move – ecstasy
Your every motion - gentle
Your every whisper – so sweet
And all else just escapes me
Exists except for you and me
All around is so blurry
You - the single focus
Layin’ there, unable to sleep
It ain’t needed anymore
All I want is you by me
Your every move – ecstasy
Your every motion - gentle
Your every whisper – so sweet
Of us and our memories
Of us and our memories
Your every move – ecstasy
Your every motion - gentle
Your every whisper – so sweet

Priority (Song)
These are the lyrics to a song two of my friends and I created. I wrote the lyrics, Wesley J Wu (Wasoon) composed the music, and Christa Musngi sang.
Listen to it at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yIv7XZ6zVg&feature=channel
Laying in bed
It’s Friday night
Nowhere to head
No will to fight
Crying a stream
Bawling a storm
Losing that dream
That was the norm
You were my priority (whoa)
Number one on my list
But I was your minority (whoa)
A simple diss
Wishing for that past
Wonder what went wrong
Thought that it would last
Guess forever aint long
Not gonna be just any fling
I don’t care anymore
Got my own wings, gonna soar
Realized you never tried
Inside, I slowly died
Now livin’ and soarin’ high
No longer bound and tightly tied
You were my priority (whoa)
Number one on my list
But I was your minority (whoa)
A simple diss
You’re no longer priority
‘Cuz I was an option
Now you’re MY minority
So go have your fun
‘Cuz now I’m free from you
And standing my ground
My new priority true
Within myself found

Fate's Melody

The song weaves through the air
The sharp sounds blending into the flowing
The loud boom into the soft whisper
Back and forth this playful bickering travels
With unexpected twists and turns
The peaceful lullaby becomes a roaring rage
The soothing sonata transforms into a forceful fright
The joyful toccata morphs into the grimmest depression
Happy staccatos jumping
Mournful legatos drawn out
Hands dance across the keys black and white
With a single movement
And swift decision’s press
The entire mood changes
Surprise fills the listeners,
Who must always be alert,
For the unexpected changes to be found
But only the pianist knows for certain
Only he controls his hands
The dancing musicians that flutter lightly
Or pound angrily upon the ivory and ebony steps
Each producing a new musical step
Looking back,
Is life not the same?
Each and every person
Living their lives upon the piano’s keyboard
And fate sits at the bench
Hands and fingers ready to compose another piece
All await anticipating fate’s new melody
To play out before us
Music to our ears
News blissful or melancholy
Notes long or short
Times more difficult than others
Each new sound is beautiful
Because it means that we are still a part of the song,
A part of life
