Silence does by doing naught
Silence means more than plenty
It reveals all and you are caught
It holds more than all you hear or see
Silence awkward and tense
Trying to hold onto thoughts blank
Nervous and unsure in your presence
Too occupied with appearance and rank
Silence is a right and protection
Saying nothing is nothing against
Speaking through analysis and selection
Solely which way in which is insistent
Silence is a dropped case and consent
Do not be victimized by such
Leaving things unsaid to be bent
Tormented between ropes of double dutch
Silence comfortable and warm
Sitting awake and asleep
Cuddling in to survive the storm
Surviving the falls no matter how steep
Silence familiar and all-knowing
Speaks more than any else upholds
Intuition bound by wired heartstrings
Decades in seconds in which it molds
Silence is the timid yet mighty thespian
Silence doesn’t lie to anyone
